City Council Meeting

For meetings held in City Hall, the Council Chambers are located on the first floor of City Hall, and the Conference Room is located on the second floor. Parking is available on LaGrange Street and in the municipal parking lot behind the building.

The council meeting schedule is listed below right.  Agenda packet information is available here or in the City Manager's Office at City Hall beginning at 12:00 pm the Friday before each meeting.

Council meetings are broadcast live on NULink channel 10.

Planning Commission
2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Council Chambers at City Hall. Submittal Deadlines

Board of Zoning Appeals
1st Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am. Council Chambers at City Hall.

Housing Authority
3rd Monday of each month at 10:00 a.m. Binion Community Center, 200 Binion Court.

Newnan Coweta Library Board
Meets quarterly (2nd Monday of January, April, July, and October, if possible). Contact the Newnan-Coweta Library at 770-253-3625.

(City employee) Retirement Board
Meets as needed. Meeting dates and times are posted.

Water and Light Commission
2nd Friday at 9:00 a.m. each month at Newnan Utilities offices, 70 Sewell Road.

Downtown Development Authority
2nd Wednesday each month at 12:00 p.m. Conference Room at City Hall.

Coweta County Board of Health
3rd Tuesday every other month at 1:00 p.m. Conference Room at Health Department.

Parks Commission
1st Wednesday of almost every month at 9:00 am. This Commission meets in January, February, March, April, May, September, October, and November. Second Floor Conference Room at City Hall.

Tree Commission
3rd Wednesday of almost every month at 1:30 pm. This Commission meets in January, February, March, April, May, September, October, and November. Second Floor Conference Room at City Hall.

Newnan Development Authority
Meets as Needed

Newnan Cultural Arts Commission
Usually meets monthly but time and date varies depending on project 

Urban Redevelopment Authority
3rd Thursday of each month at 4:15 p.m., Housing Authority offices, 48 Ball Street.
