The Greison Trail Project is funded by 1997 SPLOST funds, impact fees and private developer contributions. The project cost a little over $520,828. The project contractor is Southeastern Site Development of Newnan. The project is expected to last until early November.   

According to Newnan Community Development Coordinator Cleatus Phillips, the road was first opened to traffic on Ocotber 28th at 7 p.m. "The sidewalks are left to be back filled but this will not affect traffic,” he said. "The city would like to thank everyone for being patient with this project and I think it is well worth the wait in the end.”
