 Meg Blubaugh Human Resources' mission is to recruit, retain and support a qualified workforce committed to serving the citizens of Newnan.
The Human Resources Department provides administrative support to City departments in the recruitment, selection, development and retention of staff through the design and implementation of an equitable personnel management system.
The department is also responsible for providing risk management services including employee group insurance programs, workers’ compensation administration, general liability insurance programs, and safety and loss control efforts. Additionally, Human Resources is responsible for the administration of, and compliance with, City personnel policies and applicable state and federal laws.
Human Resources is located on the main floor of City Hall, 25 LaGrange Street. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Melissa Lowe, HR Assistant, can be reached at 770-254-2358.
