2009 CITY PROPERTY TAX BILLS DUE OCTOBER 30, 2009

2009 property tax bills for City of Newnan residents will be mailed Monday, September 21st with a due date of October 30, 2009. The City would like to remind citizens that anyone owning property in the City of Newnan will receive two separate tax bills, one from the City of Newnan and one from Coweta County, each payable to the appropriate party.

2009 CITY PROPERTY TAX BILLS DUE OCTOBER 30, 2009

2009 property tax bills for City of Newnan residents will be mailed Monday, September 21st with a due date of October 30, 2009. The City would like to remind citizens that anyone owning property in the City of Newnan will receive two separate tax bills, one from the City of Newnan and one from Coweta County, each payable to the appropriate party. 

Tax bills, per state law, are being mailed to the owner on record as of January 1, 2009. If you do not receive a tax bill for any property you own in the City of Newnan, please call the Finance Department at 770-254-2351. Failure to pay by the due date of October 30, 2009 will result in a 1% per month penalty being added. There will be 13,916 tax bills mailed this year.  Citizens can pay taxes online, in person at City Hall or by mail to P.O. Box 1193, Newnan, GA, 30264. Go to http://www.newnantaxes.com/ to pay online. Please call the City’s Finance department at 770-254-2351 if you have questions or need additional information.
