Update 11/17/09: The County will start paving this week, weather permitting.The following streets are on the schedule:
Sunset Lane, from 4th Street to West Washington Street
Pine Grove Circle, from 4thStreet
Bailey Drive, from LaGrange Street, all sections within the city
Meridian Drive, from Bailey Drive, the section within the city
Columbus Circle, from Jackson Street to Sprayberry Road
Sewell Road, from Greenville Street to Water Works Road
Updated schedule for reclamation and paving for five streets:
Update 11/17/09: All that remains now is for the pavement markings to be installed and new traffic signs installed.
Elm Street
Lovelace Street
Saint Clair Street
Summergrove parkway
Greison Trail
The contractor is running behind his original schedule due to the unusual number of rain events we have had in the past several weeks. The top lift of asphalt currently in place on Elm Street is to be milled and a new top layer will be placed. The paving contractor had mechanical problems while placing the current top layer and has agreed to remove it and place a new top layer at no cost to the City.
Coweta County crews will be assisting the City in paving the following additional streets:
Sunset Lane
Sewell Road
Bailey Drive
Meridian Drive
Columbus Circle
Pine Grove Circle
Anthony Drive
Frank Street
Hull Street
Tallaferro Drive
Water Works Road
West Street
