Update: The pool will open for the 2011 season May 28th at 11 am. Day passes are $2 per person and season passes are $25 per person. Please call 770-683-0467 or visit www.coweta.ga.us for more information.
Update: 4/27/2010
The pool is approximately 90% complete. Installation of the 75' long water slide will begin this Thursday and to be completed by Friday. The contractor is currently finishing the mechanical room and the installation of security fencing is set to begin this week. Plaster will be installed and water will be placed in the pool on May 12th.
The pool will contain 4,200 square feet of water, a 42' wide zero entry, a mushroom water feature near the zero entry, four lanes for recreational lap swimming, a dedicated catch pool for the 75' water slide, a splash fountain for the kids, and several tables and shade umbrellas for the adults. The pool is expected to be complete for this summer swim season and will have a grand opening celebration to be announced at a later date. Funding for the pool was provided by the 2007 SPLOST Program.
The highly anticipated new swimming pool located at Richard Allen Drive is scheduled to be installed in time for the swim season of 2010 pending no delays. After much support from the community, the Mayor and City Council voted to install a swimming pool instead of a spray park. This new pool will have a mushroom water feature, lap area and pool house with changing facilities.
