The City of Newnan Fire Department honors its firefighters with their Annual Life Saver Award for 2009. The recipients of this award have saved a life while on duty in 2009. There were 9 firefighters this year who accomplished this goal with 3 lives saved.

CITY OF NEWNAN FIREDEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES ANNUAL LIFE SAVER AWARDS RECIPIENTS
ChiefWhitley has been giving this award out for the past 6 years. According to ChiefWhitley, “the award is a great honor for the firefighters and the City ofNewnan Fire Department, as we are here to save lives.”
Toreceive this honor the firefighter would have brought a victim back fromunconsciousness with no pulse and heartbeat by using C.P.R. or with the use of automaticexternal defibrillators.
