The Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation Receives Grant from Newnan Kiwanis Club
NEWNAN, Ga., June 2020 - The Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation presented Newnan Carnegie Library Director, Susan Crutchfield with a check from a grant provided by the Newnan Kiwanis Club for their summer children's programs. This support from the Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation and the Newnan Kiwanis Club allows the Carnegie to offer a wide range of children's programs free to the community. This summer they will be offering magicians, ventriloquists, comedians, puppet making, arts and crafts, and storytimes. Summer programs begin on June 1st and run throughout the whole summer. Some programs do require registration via Eventbrite.

"We are thankful to the Newnan Kiwanis Club and the Newnan Carnegie Libary Foundation for supporting the Carnegie Library and allowing us to offer these amazing summer children's programs," says Crutchfield. "We have been working hard with our outside providers to provide some amazing virtual programs and we are really excited with the programs we will be offering this summer."
Newnan Kiwanis Club
Each year, Kiwanis International spends over 12 million man hours and over $107 million dollars in over 150,000 service projects worldwide. Locally, we spend thousands of man hours each year and return over $175,000 per year to our community. By far, the majority of our local funds come from our sponsorship each year, since 1947, of the Coweta County Fair. Each of our members contributes a minimum of 30 hours during September/October, providing our community with a good time, clean entertainment and education on a variety of subjects.
